Crane combined ruthless rail turns, tail drifts and reverses to open his ASP 4-Star Vans Pro Junior account by taking the highest scores of the division, an amazing 9.27, as well as the top combined heat total, 18.14 out of 20. Crane's streak continued in the Vans Pro Junior Round of 32 where he advanced into the Quarterfinals behind fellow San Clemente surfer Luke Davis.
