Vans team-rider and California style bandit Andrew 'Droid' Doheny has moved to the Quarterfinals of the Coastal Edge presents Vans Pro Junior. Droid ripped in the high-tide conditions at 1st Street Jetty in VB and took out his Round 4 heat win over International surfers Carlos Munoz and Michael February, who has been deadly all week, as well as Victor Done. Aside from moving into the Quarters, Doho's heat win pushes him one step closer to finalizing his spot alongside the world's best under-21 surfers at the 2011 ASP World Junior Championships. While Doheny's still within the cut to qualify, there are a few guys on his tail, so the advancement into the Quarters helps his cause.
