The 2011 Vans Pro and Vans Pro Junior are set to kick into high gear today! Hurrican Irene is supposed to send an increase in swell along the East Coast throughout the day and wednesday's action is expected to wrap up the Rounds of 64 and 48 of Vans Pro Junior competition and will see Californians Dane Zaun, Parker Coffin, New Yorker Balaram Stack, and Hawaiians Tanner Kendrickson and Koa Smith will also take to the water as they hunt for the valuable points towards qualification for the 2011 ASP World Junior Tour.

In addition to the Under-21 action, the men's main event, the ASP 4-Star rated Vans Pro should see the completion of Round 1 (the Round of 112) run alongside Pro Junior competition. Outer Banks Icon and former ASP World Tour campaigner Ben Bourgeois and progressive Floridian Cody Thompson are just a few of the big names to hit the early rounds of Vans Pro competition.
