Barry Walsh is a true OG in the Canadian skateboard scene, still as involved and relevant as ever. Barry is a real-deal skate rat.
In our modern world of international travel and social media updates, it’s rare for someone to be so closely identified with one particular spot in one particular city. Barry Walsh and the Big-O in Montreal go hand-in-hand though. His book, Pipe Fiends, co-authored with fellow Vans rider Marc Tison, further solidified their status as the caretakers and all-time rulers of that infamous pipe. Barry is an important ambassador to the Montreal and the Canadian skate scene. You’ll know Barry when you see his trademark black framed glasses, and there will no doubt be a boombox blasting reggae not far away.
