The Vans Softball Team has played in 4 seasons - winning the championship in 3 of those and 2nd place in the other. Playing on the softball team is a chance for our employees to hang out and get to know each other outside of the office.

Our corporate office celebrates halloween with a department contest and individual costume contest. Employees gather in the lunch area to catch a move and enjoy some popcorn and a caramel apple.

Volunteer Opportunities and Hours

Vans provides a set number of hours for each employee to volunteer during business hours. If an employee doesn't have a qualified group to volunteer for, Vans sets up opportunities to use volunteer hours by planting trees, packing lunches at the Food Bank and wrapping presents during holidays.

Food Drives

One of the many ways some employees use their volunteer time is by helping at the Orange County Food Bank. During the holidays our corporate office also collects canned food for those in need.

Vans participates yearly in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Newport Beach, CA. Entry fees for employees are paid and those that participate also receive a Vans for the Cure t-shirt. Check out the Susan G Komen website for more information.

VF Corporation recognizes employees’ efforts to improve the communities in which we work and live. This community service program sets the gold standard for volunteerism by our employees. VF will recognizes the 100 associates who accumulate the highest number of community service hours. Recipients are honored with a donation of $1,000 on their behalf to the qualified charity of their choice.

Beach Cleanup

Beach Cleanup

One option for employees looking to use their volunteer hours is to join in a beach cleanup. Periodically, Vans partners with the Surfrider Foundation to get more people helping to clean our beaches.
Carpool rewards

Carpool rewards

Each employee that carpools or takes a form of public transportation gets entered into a weekly drawing. Reducing emissions from driving is just 1 of the ways that Vans is helping the environment.
Earth Month Events

During Earth Month, Vans brings in special guest speakers to share information on environmental initiatives. Meetings are usually held in the lunch room and all employees are welcome to listen in.

Throughout the office, Vans has collection sites for standard office reyclables. Plastic and paper cups are not available in our office, we give each employee a mug and cup to use on the day they join!

Another way Vans helps our environment is by collecting electronic waste and batteries to be disposed of properly. Also, once per year Vans sets up a collection in the parking lot for larger items such as TVs, stereos, computers, etc. to be dropped off and disposed of properly.

Employees come to the largest Vans branded pool table to play a game with their coworkers. On a break or before lunch, a game of pool can help refocus and recharge.
