Flexible Sculptures by Li Hongbo

Chinese artist Li Hongbo makes these really fascinating flexible paper sculptures made of thousands tightly assembled laser cut pieces of paper that have same flexibility as let's say a slinky. The inspiration comes from the traditional Chinese hand cut paper festive lanterns and toys. Once the sculptures are pulled apart they take a really interesting and unexpected shape. Peep some pictures and the video of the pieces bellow.
