Dean Wilson Maintains 250 Points lead after Atlanta SX!
Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson earned his second consecutive podium finish at round two of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross 250SX East series this past Saturday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. Teammate Justin Hill put on another impressive ride by grabbing his second top-ten finish this season.
Wilson started the night strong by winning his heat race and earning a good gate pick for the main. In the main, Wilson got a decent start and navigated his way to the second-place spot. He held strong for the remainder of the race and finished second, which was his second podium finish in two races. His podium consistency keeps him in control of the 250SX East points as he heads to round three of the series as the current points leader.
Hill had an impressive top-ten finish at the first round of the series, and kept that momentum going in Atlanta. After earning fourth in his heat race, the Oregon native sailed to a steady sixth place finish in the main thereby claiming his second top-ten finish this season. He is currently tied for fifth overall in 250SX East point standings.
