Battle of Teahupo'o
The Billabong Pro Tahiti (stop 5 of the 10) for the ASP World Championship Tour is taking place this week with the world's best surfers battling it out at the infamous Teahupo'o from August 16 - 27th. The opening heat should not be missed! As Patrick Gudaukas, John John Florence and Miguel Pupo of Brazil are first to surf. The forecast calls for some inconsistent/lully SW swell. Filling in through the afternoon with 5-6' faces and the occasional max sets up to 7-8'. With south winds well in the mix it will give a jumbled and somewhat stormy feel....with that said...good luck boys!
