New Silhouettes Available to Customize
With over 35 years as a part of Vans’ Classic line-up, the Sk8-Hi has withstood the test of time and Vans is proud to announce its addition to the Vans Customs program. One of Vans’ most coveted designs, the Sk8-Hi joins the Authentic, Authentic Lo Pro, Classic Slip-On, Era, Old Skool, 106 Vulcanized and the Chukka Low as customizable styles. In conjunction with the addition of the Sk8-Hi to the Vans Customs line-up, the Customs material palette has been updated with several new print, color, lace and eyelet options. New prints available include the Digi Lightning, Tribal Leaders, Chevron and Geometric graphics. Solid colors have been updated as well with Cyber Yellow, Blue Bell, Beetle and Rosebloom hues. Lace and eyelet options have grown with an upgraded selection of add-ons.
In 1966, the Van Doren Rubber Company opened its doors for business in Anaheim, California. With the ability to make shoes one pair at a time to meet specific consumer requests, Vans’ simple canvas shoes soon became a staple at the beach and throughout Southern California. Creative individuals were able to customize their Vans, bringing in their own boardshorts, skate decks and apparel for design inspiration.
